well I got my Z back from a new paint job. I had sent the car in to get painted just to fix up a few dings and dents, well to make a long story short I ended up with the whole car painted for just about free!!!
on to the real story
some of you may know I have been haveing problems with my car for about 2 years now, hesitation, NO power, bad gas mpg, the car just ran like SHIT! and even with those problems I was still able to get into the 13's =)
anyway before I took my car to get painted I had done the timing belt 3 times(everyone was telling me my timing belt was off a tooth) well it wasnt my timing belt, but that got me on track. I then found that my indexing peg on my one cam was very worn, so that along with my timing at 0 deg TDC with my CAS all the way advanced I figured why not replace the cam, I have replaced everything else! well I replaced the cam (it wasnt too hard, just time consuming) and my car was at about 80% I then orderd a new CAS from Coz, when that got in I replaced the CAS, it took me a while to get the timing right, but when I did HOLY SHIT, my car is fast again woohoo!!!!!
ok so here is all the parts I have replaced in the search to fix my car...
2-CAS's
2-PCV's
fuel filter
fuel pressure rugulator
fuel dampener
both O2's
TPS
PTU
head temp sensor
I did the timing belt 3 times for no reason!
cleaned every conection on the damn engine( I think there is 64 of them!)
I know there is more stuff, but I cant think of anything else now.
